Project/Studio Manager (maternity leave replacement)

Thirst Studios are a respected UX design team based in central Melbourne. We're on the look-out for a super-organised Project / Studio Manager to join our friendly, close-knit team as a maternity leave replacement.

You'll be responsible for managing all projects from initial scoping and estimation through resource planning to testing and quality assurance, ensuring everyone on the team knows where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to be working on at all times.

As the conduit between the studio and our clients, you'll be adept at managing expectations, keeping everyone in the loop, resolving any issues that may arise and ensuring everything runs smoothly, on time and to budget.

Essentially, you're the most organised person in the room. You're cool as a cucumber and work really well under pressure. You probably organise your DVDs alphabetically and threw the best parties in high school.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Assist with the development of estimates and project scope documents.
  • Manage project dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Manage and schedule team resources.
  • Regularly communicate work in progress to the client and the team.
  • Manage internal project time tracking and invoicing.
  • Participate in group workshops and creative brain-storm sessions.

Your skills and qualities:

  • 3+ years' professional agency experience in digital project management.
  • A good grasp of UX design principles and the interactive development process including content strategy, information architecture, interaction design, visual design and web/mobile technologies.
  • A strong team player with a good sense of humour (our culture is really important to us).
  • A self-starter with a great work ethic.
